George Reynolds

George Reynolds (born 1756) was the seventh child of Joseph Reynolds and Lydia Greenwood. He was baptized in the Congregational Church. In 1778, he enlisted in John Topham’s Regiment of Rhode Island State Troops. By early 1779, he had been promoted to corporal. In 1784, George married Abigail Peck. George and Abigail had five children: Lydia, Jonathan Peck, George, Abigail, and Joseph. In official records, George is referred to as a “yeoman”.
