David Maxfield (1755-1836) was a “yeoman” from Bristol. He served in Billings Throope‘s Company of William Richmond’s Regiment. Later in the war, he served in Archibald Crary’s Regiment. In 1782, he served in Jeremiah Olney’s Battalion. David was married to a woman named Meribah and had a daughter named Eunice. In 1816, he owed a Federal property tax of $4.76. The next year, he owed $6.28. In 1818, David applied for a pension, receiving $8 per month. He was buried in the North Burial Ground.
