Nathaniel Wilson (or Willson, 1755-1826) was the fifth child of Jeremiah Wilson and Susannah Munro. In the fall of 1775, he enlisted in Billings Throope‘s Company of William Richmond’s Regiment. He claimed to have served at the Battle of Long Island, and to have been wounded in the hand by a bayonet at the Battle of Rhode Island (at which time he seems to have been serving in Archibald Crary’s Regiment). In 1799, he married Freelove Taylor (circa 1772-1837). Nathaniel and Freelove had a son named George. Nathaniel applied for a pension in 1823, receiving $8 per month.
