Zebedee Applebee (or Applebey, Appleby 1756-1829) was the seventh child of James Applebee and his wife Dorcas. He was born in Smithfield. In 1775, he married Joanna Sly. Zebedee and Joanna had three children: Israel, Rhoda, and Nathan. In 1776, Zebedee was serving in Thomas Allen‘s Company of Barrington Militia. In 1778, he served in David Mowry’s Company of Smithfield Militia. After the war, Zebedee moved to Franconia, New Hampshire.
