Samuel Bosworth (circa 1744-1824) was from Barrington. He was married to a woman named Elizabeth. Samuel and Elizabeth had five children: Anna, Joseph, Samuel, Mary, and Elizabeth. In 1769, Samuel was the ensign of Warren‘s Second Militia Company. In 1774, he held the same rank in the Barrington Militia Company. He was promoted to lieutenant in 1775. In 1776, when the Barrington Artillery Company was formed, Samuel was made captain. Samuel and Elizabeth are buried in the Prince’s Hill Burial Ground.
