William Wardwell

William Wardwell (circa 1750-1780) was the fourth child of William Wardwell and Mary Howland. He was baptized in the Congregational Church. In 1775, he enlisted in Billings Throope‘s Company of William Richmond’s Regiment, reaching the rank of corporal. William commanded the Bristol Train of Artillery in the autumn of 1778. In 1779, he served in the Bristol County Alarm Company.
