The Bradford was a schooner-rigged privateer boat launched from Bristol in 1779. It was named for Deputy Governor William Bradford It carried one swivel gun and nine men. In August, 1779, the Bradford was involved in the capture of an unknown armed boat. In September, it was involved in the capture of the two-masted boat Dolphin, carrying cheese and provisions.
